Miami drivers, brace yourselves\u2014yesterday June 18th 2025, the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office took to social media to remind everyone that school zone speed cameras will still be active during the summer<\/em>. But before you take things slow on every school street, there’s a catch: only some schools with summer sessions<\/strong> are included. Naturally, this has sparked confusion across the city\u2014nobody seems to know which school zones are active from June 20 \u2013 July 25.  It adds to the frustration since maybe people disagree that they have anything to do with safety.<\/a>

Sheriff\u2019s Office Confusion Adds to Driving Chaos<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If officials can\u2019t provide a list of schools operating summer programs, how is anyone expected to drive safely? People have reached out to the Miami Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2014and yes, there were crickets. One frustrated driver asked point-blank: \u201cWhich schools are in session and have cameras right now?\u201d<\/em> The reply? Nothing. Meanwhile, simpler questions got fast responses. That silence speaks volumes. To those following along closely, it’s another example of poor optics and mismanagement of crucial communications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We tried to find this information and were unsuccessful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
