This sophisticated scam has become increasingly common especially in South Florida. Below is an example of a fake that our office has recently acquired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1545\" height=\"2000\" src=\"http:\/\/18.211.219.184\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4605\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theticketclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV.png 1545w, https:\/\/www.theticketclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV-232x300.png 232w, https:\/\/www.theticketclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV-791x1024.png 791w, https:\/\/www.theticketclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV-768x994.png 768w, https:\/\/www.theticketclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/fake-NOV-1187x1536.png 1187w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1545px) 100vw, 1545px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you can see, it looks very real at first glance. However here are a few things to look for to spot a fake:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the website is NOT <a href=\"http:\/\/www.violationinfo.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.violationinfo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.violationinfo.com<\/a> o <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.redlightviolations.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/secure.redlightviolations.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the name is listed as &#8220;owner of\u2026&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there is no pin # on the notice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the amount is NOT $158.00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the notice states immediate suspension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This scam has been around for several months and has even been covered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/miami.cbslocal.com\/2022\/03\/30\/police-warn-fake-red-light-camera-ticket-scams\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/miami.cbslocal.com\/2022\/03\/30\/police-warn-fake-red-light-camera-ticket-scams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local news<\/a>. We encourage all of our clients to double check their violation notices for anything amiss.
